The Staff Sgt. Anthony Davis Memorial Award
An amount up to $500 or two $250 scholarships will be awarded to a graduating Jr. ROTC senior(s) attending Mainland High School. The award(s) is given to a student(s) who demonstrated improvement, integrity and perseverance. The recipient(s) of this award is chosen by the Jr. ROTC program director.

The SFC. Matthew L Eskridge Memorial Award
An amount up to $500 or two $250 scholarships will be awarded to a graduating student(s) from any High School within Volusia county. The criteria for this award is much different. The recipient(s) is selected by Rolling Thunder's Education Program Awards Committee, and is based on several key elements relating to veterans, and prisoners of war-missing in action (POW-MIA). Specific criteria is described below the narrative.

The Rules and Conditions under which the scholarship is awarded and the program administered. To be eligible to apply: 1.Applicants must be a high school senior residing in Volusia county. 2.Applicants must be a relative of active military, retired service member or veteran. 3.Applicants must submit an essay explaining, in detail, what he/she has done to promote the education of the POW MIA issue and or how they have or what they have done to support of active military and/or veterans. 4.The SFC Matthew L Eskridge Memorial Scholarship must be used by the recipient to pursue their education or as needed should they join the military upon high school graduation.
OTHER AVAILABLE AWARDS AND OPPORTUNITIES
We offer additional opportunities for students to earn community service and volunteer credits. Students can also earn certificates for helping us serve our veterans and by attending specific RT Fl 8, sponsored events. And the Rolling Thunder® chapter 8 FL. POW-MIA Education Seminar is a great learning experience.
