Our History

When One American Is Not Worth The Effort To Be Found, Then We As Americans Have Lost.

Rolling Thunder® Inc., Florida Chapter 8, has been representing the greater Daytona Beach area of Volusia County, Florida. Providing support to veterans, active military and their families since chartered in January of 2009. We are Advocate for veterans and raise public awareness of the 84,000 American service men and women who are still unaccounted for. "Prisoners Of War/Missing In Action" (POW-MIA),  The principle of leaving no one behind - no matter the cost, is deeply embedded in the active US Military and Vetetans alike. We believe that no stone will be left unturned to get them home if they should fall into enemy hands. Our job is to make sure our country does not forget our service men and women, especially those we left behind. In addition we are active in the  community providing support to other local veteran focused and charatable organizations.

We are an Official Certifying Organization for the "Presidents Volunteer Service Awards Program."One of the highest awards one can receive for volunteer service. It is awarded through the President's Council on Service and Civic Participation. The Council, was established in 2003 to recognize the valuable contributions volunteers  make in our communities and to encourage more people to serve. The Council created the President’s Volunteer Service Award program as a way to thank and honor committed service-minded Americans.

We support the Veteran's Assistance Collation, organized to help homeless veterans and their families. Working with the VA and the Salvation Army to get them off the streets into a place they can call home. The "VAC" also helps with furnishings and other life sustaining necessities.
